No more grafitti

According to an article over at /. and Brighthand , PalmSource is switching from Grafitti to some variant of Jot from CIC. According to the story, the switch is due to Palm losing a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Xerox.

It is interesting that Palm was targeted for this lawsuit and there never appeared to be a mention of Block Recognizer on the PPC. At least none I heard of. Since Palm lost and they are apparently changing input methods, I wonder how long it will be before Block Recognizer disappears.

Considering the only reason it exists is to help Palm Users move to PPC, it seems likely MS will scrap it also.
