At first I thought this was a joke. saw the article, checked out the website. Who's gonna be the first to try it and write a review? Still pretty funny. Wonder what they mean by this:

"Q - What does it feel like?
A -
Not to be too biased but it feels great! You experience a slight tingling sensation on your earlobes for a while then it seems to disappear. Then it gets quite subjective, all we can say is - it's good."

I know a better way to get a good feeling by tickling (my wife's) earlobes, and it's not with a machine!!

Thumbs down What are they thinking?

Snake oil sales comes to the PDA world!!! I wonder what the FDA thinks about this module? Sure, "this won't hurt a bit, just attach these two electrodes to your earlobes...". I wonder how much the college students got paid to beta test this module?

Gee, wouldn't this work great w/the "Nudule" being discussed in another thread?

Seriously, though, didn't they use something like this on Jack Nicholson in "1 Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? ("Nurse Ratchett, could you attach those probes a little lower down this time? Thank you. No, has nothing to do with any so-called 'Nudule' you may have heard of....")

If anyone gets these modules, please let us know.

I'm assuming this is like biofeedback which has merits in a clinical aspect. I'm curious to know how it works with the Visor and its effectiveness. For those who must have every module (including these two - Gamma and Delta modules), please share with us how it all works.

The website does describe the effects as "too good to be true", but who knows for sure.

Thanks.

1) I doubt anyone doubts this, but ...
2) ... there's the rub.
3) Geez, I wonder if anyone even falls into this category. That'd be an interesting poll: Does ANYone own EVERY SB? I'd bet not. (Not quite as cheap as Beanie Babies!)
4) You know what they always warn when things are touted as "too good to be true," though....

Snake Oil and Hair Tonic?

Sorry to be a Party Pooper.

This is what the FDA said when I asked them a few questions about the company and the modules....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Ms. Barnhart:
This is in response to your e-mail to the Food and Drug Administration(FDA)asking if Neural FX has FDA approved products.
According to FDA's releasable 510(k) database, Neural FX has not received marketing clearance for its device. I am forwarding your e-mail to FDA's Compliance Office for their information and follow up.
Sincerely yours,
Talking Just like the car rental commercial
I can see it now. It will be just like the car rental commercial that shows everyone passed-out due to the aromatherapy candles in the car while driving.
Folks will be driving around with the Visors plugged into their heads with this gizmo.
Thumbs up These Modules work as Advertised
There was a unit called the NeuroTrek Multiplex which was on the market last year which was very effective in that it produced all the brainstates in one unit. These modules are a take off on that technology by it's inventor. These modules are great tools for people to be able to have and use without a prescription or having to ask someones permission! Also, they have a full moneyback guarantee if they don't work as specified. Try it before you bash it! I do understand that fear will cause us to shoot first before taking the time to understand a new thing that could be of great benefit to us.
As far as it feeling good, both modules cause a release of endorphins which is similar to having a glass of wine. This technology has been around for over fifty years. If you search the internet for CES (Cranial Electro Stimulation)you will find alot of research supporting the claims made. If you want to bring the FDA into it you will be destroying the opportunity for you to have a great tool without getting permission first, think about it! The FDA will approve the technology then it will be classified for clinical use or only by prescription which is how most CES devices are currently classified. This unit is NOT for medical use or for the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of diseases of any kind. It's an aid for relaxation or to help relieve stress thru the use of existing well researched technology.
I see VisorCentral now has ads for these modules on the front page...
...looks like we've got ads in this thread too.
Anyone else think the ElectricMedical Research page looks a lot like Innogear's page?
And one last thing, does she look like she is enjoying the module?
Dangers of this module and seizures?
Wait a second, You're sending Electrical impulses accross the Brain here... what are the chances of triggering an epileptic seizure? (obviously a known epileptic would not use this type of device)
If simple visual stimulus (flashing lights at ~11Hz) can cause a seizure in people previously seizure free (anyone remember the pokeman show in japan causing the kids to sieze and throw up?)
Just wondering
Geeeezzzzz -- Give this company a break - yes I know I am guilty of talking about the website look alike but lets give them some credit and thanks for comeing out with an innovative module! Why are you guys thrashing a company for coming out with a innovative module??? I bet right now they are saying to themselves that "its not worth it" and will most likely have their next product be something other than a module for the visor.
We need to thank companies like this - their next module may just be the module of your dreams - but instead you guys thrash these companies!
There is NO money in the module makeing business - companies who are making them are really hurting and droping like flies -- and on top of it you guys treat them this way?
If you want to see innovative add-ons for your VISOR - then support them and thank them - incurage them to continue to bring more innovative modules.
My two cents --!!
What would be best is if Visorcentral obtained these two modules and did an objective review of them.
Any chance of this happening? It would certainly help clear this up one way or another. They sound very tempting, and I'm sure many of us would want one if a third party said that the modules actually worked.
My "dream" module is certainly not anything this company would be interested in manufacturing.
Dream Module
Maybe they can build your "Dream" module. What would that be?
Stop talking like you don't own/work at the company! Reffering to them as "they" makes Matthew Nichols think you're trying to be deceptive, he thinks you should be more up front. Your early post made it sound like you weren't even related to the company but were some objective person.
Obviously
I think it's obvious that I'm with the company. I put my signature header at the bottom of my email. Also, I'm asking what modules you would like to see come out, depending on what it is we might be able to accomodate quickly.
