I seem to have intermittant hot sync problems. I have Win98 with USB cradle. Fairly regularly the Visor is unable to make a connection with the desktop. A soft reset always seems to work. After a couple of successful syncs, I have the problem again. Do I just have to expect this?

I have 8MB VisorDeluxe. I have no hacks installed. The added apps are CheckListLt, HandDBase, HandyShop, SecureMemo, TealDoc, ViewerIII and Avantgo. (The problem does not appear to be dependent upon whether I am trying to update the Avango data or not.)

Thanks

I frequently have sync problems too. In my case however, it is almost always the desktop and not the Visor. I have found that if you allow Win98's resources to fall below, say, 65%, HotSync usually won't start. I close a few apps, or if more drastic action is needed, reboot the PC. This usually fixes it.

I've also seen the sync fail if the computer goes to sleep. A restart of the PC seems to do the trick.

I use the hot sync cable, now. The cradle didn't seem as reliable.
