Help with Black Prism Screen!

My Prism took about a 3ft fall to the parkinglot while in its vaja case. It appears to have landed on the top right corner. When I turned it on, the screen is black and there is a white frame around all of the edge of the screen.

I have done a reset, reset holding the power button, reset holding the up button, opened the case and pressed all the wire connectors to make sure they are tight.

The screen physically appears ok.

Does anyone have an answer/solution? Screen replacement is $80 but I do not want to do this if there is some other problem.

Thanks

reset

try a total reset: disconnect the battery for some seconds and reconnect. I had it once (not after falling) and solved the problem with it. Screen is certainly not damaged, but rather some hickup of software-hardware

Turns out it was the little ribbon cable. I had to go back and disconnect it and reconnect.

Thanks

Unhappy

I am having the exact same problem. I did not drop mine! I just went to turn mine on and nothing except a black screen with a white border. I tried disconnecting the battery and nothing. Any other suggestions. Thanks?!?

Open the back and unhook the screen (two ribbon cables a large one and a small one) and reconnect. Fixed mine!
