I've got a black ostrich for my VDX, and I love it.
My question: Will bending the cover all the way back so that it's flush with the backside of the case damage the leather? (Creasing, cracking, etc.) Anybody with a Vaja do this regularly?

Leather
I've owned and worn all sorts (and species) of leather belts. THE thing that kills then is failure of the leather at the point next to the buckle where it is most frequently bent sharply.
I've owned dozens of leather watch bands. THE thing that kills them is failure of the leather at the point next to the buckle where it is most frequently bent sharply.
Will bending and rebending leather wear it out? Yes. The only thing I don't know for sure is just how long (or how many bends) it will take. My guess is that it will survive as long as your visor does before you want to upgrade.
Dave ;-)
