Does anybody know if there is a way to track a user online if they have their GPS on?
Also, is there any good mapping software that can be used with the Magellan Companion? The software that came with it is rather average. The streets are really hard to see and it looks kinda ****ty.
Last, is there anywhere to go and learn more about GPS uses?
Thanks my online buds . . . . . . . . .

You cannot be traced with a GPS unit, it finds you location based off of the location of the satellites in relation to you & does not transmit anything.

are you kidding about the software? the mapping software for marcosoft is some of the best mapping software that i've seen. the nav companion leaves a little to be desired in some areas. you might try some of the software from delorme.

as for gps uses you might try www.geocaching.com. it's kind of a gps treasure hunt.

yea, from what i've been reading, i guess you're right about the software. nowhere to go but up in future releases is guess. that's the beauty of the hardware, it'll still be good with later software. thanks for the input.

Angry

A lot of the roads around my area have numbers instead of the actual name of the road. That sucks.
