Any ideas?

Lightbulb Make sure you are signed in

Vicki,

Your Yahoo channel will not be synched if you are not signed in to Yahoo on your Visor when you perform the sync. Go to the Yahoo link from the Avant Go home page on your Visor. If a "Sign In" button appears, click it and enter your Yahoo username and password. Make sure that you do not sign out when you go to another app.

Question

Platinum blonde,
Thank you for the information, I am still not able to sync Yahoo however there is a sign on screen on my Visor... Is this something new? I've never had this problem untill just recently.
Thanks again
Vicki

Try selecting the Sign In button and entering your Yahoo info, then perfom a HotSync. That button shows up on my screen when I have signed out of the Yahoo channel (on the Visor).

Same problem!

Never had a problem with my Yahoo content but I also noticed that my Yahoo content has not shown up for a couple of days already. I signed back in on my visor thinking I must have logged off accidently, still no content. I've tried MSN channel which is pretty cool but I still prefer Yahoo.

I did the same thing and I like MSN but not quite as well as Yahoo.
I'm wondering if there is any possibility of it being a server type thing? I'm definitly technologically challenged so that's just a wild guess on my part

This stopped working for me a few days ago too. Doesn't matter how many times I "sign in" on Avantgo on my Visor I still do not succeed in logging in to "My Yahoo".

I even tried this on a second PC. No difference. I have decided to stop Yahoo and have started to use MSN as a result.

Question

My Yahoo channel started acting strange about a week ago (at least that's when I noticed...)

My Yahoo info starts off OK, but when I sync, it somehow signs me out, so I need to sign in again, and re-sync. Over and over again sign in/sync and have info, then lose my sign-on at the next sync... To get around this, I've been "signing-in" on Yahoo before every AvantGo sync sucks but works.

One of these days, I might uninstall/reinstall AvantGo to see if it clears up the problem...

The same thing has been happening to me. I finally got annoyed and switched to other channels for the same content - now I use Reuters, the Weather Channel and Hollywood.com. I do miss the movie synopsizes though.

there was a post with an email from either a Yahoo or Avantgo rep awhile back that suggested that people with yahoo account names that contain numbers or symbols will experience this problem...

is this the case with any/all of you?

Yep. I have numbers in my account name, but it wasn't a problem before - just recently.

Angry

I'm having the same issue with my Yahoo account with AvantGo. It's a new issue. It always worked before without ever needing to log in over and over.

Thumbs down

I have an underscore on my account "_" name. Don't want to change it either. Off to MSN I go for push data.

My Yahoo name is the same as here...nmarrion
Clearly no numbers or special characters there!

Who could we report this to? Avantgo?
