Trying to connect through Verizon

I'm trying to go online using a Prism with a V8160 cell phone, through Verizon, but when I try to connect, the Service Connection Progress window says: "Error: Serial: port in use 0x0307)." Anybody know what can be done? It worked fine connecting the phone to the Mac (using Virtual PC), but not to the Prism. Thanks.

Try a soft reset to free up the serial port.

Thanks, Mark. I did the soft reset, and now I DON'T get the port error message, but it's still not connecting -- instead I get Error: PPP timeout (0x1231). Next step?

Thanks.

(I am using the cradle to connect.. wondering if a straight data cable from the Visor to the phone would make any difference?)
