Question

How o I set up a file link in palm desktop sofware? And what folder should I put the file in? I am trying to set up a program that syncs text files. This is what the program instructions states:

In the Palm desktop software that came with your Palm Pilot, set up a file link for each investment that is to be synced with your PDA. Sync files from BusinessVue are named SV symbol.TXT (for example: SV ALMI.TXT).

Thanks for all replies.

Under windows, in the tool tray click on the HotSync tool. About half way down the pop-up menu that appears is "File Link... This will open up the dialog box to get you started. If you instead get an error message about no file links available, this is because none of the HotSync conduits that you have installed support File Links. This is common if you are not using the Palm Desktop software as your Desktop information manager. I have never set up a File Link to a text file before, only address files, so I cannot comment further. But the files can be anywhere on your system.
