I have bad news. It doesn't work.

As soon as you plug in the omnisky you get a message that you need to upgrade to the Prism or Plantinum.

Not Giving up though I click on the omnisky program. It gave errors about not finding any channels.

In the visor pres section there is an omnisky option, but when you click on it the screen jumps to the general screen.

Sorry for the bad news.

Does yada yada work?

My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.

what about other programs?

We all guessed that Omnisky would not work with the VDX, but does the modem work? I.E. can you browse the net using a different browser? Check your mail etc? I'd happily give up PQA's and the omnisky browser if I can keep my vdx.

Mxgian,

Good questions, which I should of answered in the original post.

But first. I have only been using the prism for about a week and I find it difficult to go back to the deluxe. I'm already used to the power button on the other side. :-)

Now back to your questions.

The first time (before the first post) I tried surfing the web with ProxiWeb I got a fatal exception so I stopped trying.

After your post, I tried again.

I didn't surf for a long while, but I was able to surf with proximail. I went to http://www.mrshowbiz.com and read a story about Spike lee. I went to Yahoo. I also surf with the avantgo browser and was able to get my mail, with multi mail.

So, I guees it does work but would it work if all I had was the deluxe and not the prisim to set it up with? Also, if you run into problem getting connected the first time like I did will omnisky help you? Out of the four calls I made, only one asked me what unit I was using. Hmm.

Surfing the web on the prism is much more enjoyable than on the deluxe even the black and white sites.
