What do Treo lovers want for Xmas?

So I guess this is how it's done.

Hi, anyone have any suggestions for someone looking to buy a Christmas gift for someone with a Treo 600?

And what kind of memory cards are good?

I wanted a T-600 for Christmas - too late, I bought it myself.

Then I wanted a 256 meg card - too late - I bought it again.

Now I want the Radio Shack radio tuner thing.

Cases are important, though unless your husband goes "I like this one," I wouldn't just buy anyone.

I go through cases left and right, always changing.

It's such a personl preference that try to nudge him towards letting you know which one he likes.

Just my opinion,
Vikram

Some people like leather covers, some people don't (like me).

Seriously, check out the iRock400W at Radio Shack. It's $29 and plugs into the headphone jack of the Treo (but he will need the stereo headphone adaptor - which he can also get a Radio Shack for about 5 bucks.)

The iRock is a small FM transmitter which plays the Treo's music on the car's FM radio. It's very cool.

As far as memory cards, I picked up a 256 meg SD card (Sandisk brand) at Costco for about $65. The music (and software) is stored on the card.

I would get him a car charger for the road, a standing cradle for home + a SD storage card. If I had to cut anything, I would cut the cradle although I have all three and all are vital to me.

A case I agree would also be nice, but then folks like different things. So keep your receipts if he's not thrilled with any purchase so they can be returned.

On second thought, strike all the above and get him a Best Buy gift certificate.

All these ideas are great guys. Thanks.

Does snerdy have any thoughts? (snerdy was nice to me when I didn't know what I was doing)

Even if the leather case is handy, do you guys think it's masculine enough to get for a man?

That is, apparently, because I don't know what I'm doing... but let's get this post on topic quick, before someone notices.

Sure it... is. I guess.

Show-off dork culture seems to have taken over popular culture in a large way over the last decade and a half. Businessmen now proudly display their dork-o electronics on their belts, in plain view for all to see, while the uberest of ubergeeks seem to be going the opposite direction (keeping their gear "cloaked" at all times) and for the most part, you'd hardly know they're dorks at all. (Think Heavy Metal -- "There was no way I was gonna walk around this place with my dork hangin' out!") I mean, nothing gives them away except the fact that they don't have a steadycam-cellphone aparatus attached to their pelvisesi (what's the freakin' plurl of pelvis?).

Annnnnnnyway -- my point is that, yes, cellphone cases can be cool, groovy and masculine (walk proud, Cash70!) but at the same time, they score somewhat low on the traditional (read: anti-cool, anti-masculine) dork fashion charts these days.
