Question

I have problem beaming from my Visor to other handhelds (a Palm IIIe, a Palm V). The sending procedure is constantly interrupted. The only thing I succeeded to beam is the business card. I can receive without any problem. Omniremote works fine, too. I am not using any overclock software.

Any suggestion? Thanks.

Cool I've found out the reason

After trying different methods, I finally figured out the cause of the beaming problem -- inproper CPU clock.

I installed afterburner, set the clock to 20MHz and the beaming works fine. If I set it back to 16MHz (or set to "Normal"), the previous problem appears again. The intersting thing is: it works with higher frequencies, i.e., from 20 to 29. Frequencies slower than 16MHz or higher than 30MHz don't work.

Question more ...

But I am still wondering why IR doesn't work correctly under normal CPU clock. Might it be a hardware problem? It's funny that people usually disable overclocking to avoid IR problem while I have to overclock in order to make it work.

Question

I'm wondering, if you tweaked the Palm IIIe or Palm V to a similar clock speed, might they be able to receive from the tweaked Visor?
