My load time is very slow too; it took over a minute after I clicked on the "reply" button to get to this screen. I've been having this problem for at least 4 days now...but I'm still here!

Exclamation

I have tested the site from all my upstream providers now, and one of them do show some troubles a couple of hops away from me. This upstrean has been alerted about the problem. However, all other connections look fine...

I have tested the site through several ISPs, both modem and DSL, and it is fast for me. I guess all of the ISPs I have used comes in through the good pipes though.

What about the rest of you, have you received good performance from VC lately?

There is definitely still a problem. I log on both at work (frame relay) and at home (cable modem). In both cases, VC is dead slow, even as I type this.

I wonder how widespread this problem is? Many members probably don't even venture to the bottom of the topic groups to this one, so maybe there are lots of other members who are also wondering what's going on.

For the first time in 5 days things are fairly zippy again. Of course it is 11:00PM Pacific time. Earlier this evening things were so slow that I just gave up. Tomorrow during regular business hours will tell if the problem is really resolved but so far it seems better.

VisorCentral performance has been bad the last couple of days. None of my logons, from work or home, were up to the normal speed for at least 5 days now.

The good news is that performance appears to be good this morning (6:30am PST).

The slowdown problem that some of you are experiencing have been identified. It is a digex router a couple of hops from me that is acting up, so everyone that is coming in over a digex connection (do a tracert to find out), is currently experiencing problems.

If you are experiencing slowdowns and are not on coming in on a digex connection, let me know asap [email protected]

Thanks,

Marcus

Arghh, the site is completely unusable for me today. It took me over 15 minutes to just get to this forum to post this message.

If others are still experiencing problems, I suggest to VC that they put a message where anyone visiting can easily get to, stating that they are aware of the problems. Otherwise new users may think this is the norm and be discouraged from returning.

Barely got to post this. Many postings are "no go" on my end. Getting "transfer interupted" or just cuts off.

Many of you have experienced connection problems to VisorCentral lately, and we have finally located the problem and are working on resolving it.

One of our upstream Internet providers, Digex (others include UUnet and Qwest), has recently started dropping packages at a router three hops from us. The technicians at that location are working on resolving the situation. However, it seems like it is a bandwidth issue, which won't be resolved until their bandwidth increases.

Because the problem only exists with one of our pipes, for some of you VC seems extremely slow, while for the "lucky" who comes in over Uunet or Qwest, VC rocks on as usual.

This should be resolved by Friday, when a DS3 link from Sprint gets installed. So please bare with us for another few days

Back to normal here, too... It was like the difference between the USB and serial HotSync...

Keep up the good work, folks...

Yeah...

Since Saturday (3 days ago) the site is back to normal speed again.

Great - no need to read the paper while waiting for the screen to build up...

Even though it's been a few days since the sites back to running normal, I just wanted to say thanks! I enjoy the forum and many days I wouldn't come here because it loaded soooo slow (I even have cable modem!) I was able to fold an entire basket of clothing (for 6 people!) before a page loaded.

Anyway, thanks!

While the site is remarkably faster as of late, it still appears to be lagging at times, specifically when attempting to "Connect Host <A HREF="http://www.burstnet.com"." TARGET=_blank>www.burstnet.com".</A>
