Hey everybody,

Looking around for good Stylus/Pen/Pencil "COMBO" pen to use with my Visor Deluxe. Seen a several out there but want some input on how reliable they are, & how much they cost?!

I use the Stylus+ 4-way which has 2 pens, a pencil, and a stylus. It can be ordered with a multitude of combinations and it's also a bargain at $19.99.

I second the vote for Stylus+4way. I have one with blue and black pens, 0.5mm mech pencil, and ez-view stylus point. It was only about $20.

I posted a similar question a while back and got an overwhelming response about the stylus+.

Personally, I wanted a more "upscale" looking combo, and I would recommend the Platinum exec combo pen/pencil/stylus available at palmgear. I had one and really enjoyed the look, functionality, action, etc. of the Platinum.

My Platinum's demise was a leaky purple ink refill that I put in it that gummed it up, and ultimately wrecked it.

I almost got a new Platinum to replace my old one (I was looking to see what I would replace it with when I got all the advice to get the stylus+) but finally went with a Rotring trio pen, and a home-made (way to complicated, don't ask) stylus refill for it.

Now I'm very happy with my Rotring pen/pencil/purple stylus.

I use the Pilot Pentopia - it has a nice look and feel - silver metal barrel. There is a pen, pencil and stylus. The stylus is well machined and very smooth. I purchased it at BJs (a national? wholesaler) for $15 but you can see it at: http://www.pentopia.com/

I also bought a YAFA 4PALM that has 2 pens, pencil and stylus. Its attraction was that I was able to buy a pen in the same color (almost) as my blue VDX. You can check it out at: http://store.yahoo.com/yafapen/17209yafa4palm.html

Happy hunting!

I just picked up the Pentopia 3way to go with my BVD, and have found it to be *very* nice.

It has a very nice/cool look to it (sorta silver ballistic), and has a very nice feel and balance. The stylus, pen & pencil are very smooth -- I tend to be a little picky about the look & feel of ink pens, and the default pen cartridge isn't too bad (it's smooth, but it does tend to collect little ink blobs so often...).

Will any of these fit in a case that is 5" high?

My wife bought a generic leather case for her BVD. It is zippered and has a place for the visor on one side, and a small notepad on the other. It has a place in the middle for a pen/stylus, but it is HARD to find a short one.

Any suggestions?

How 'bout Platinum Zepher Mini? It's right about 5". Price is $24.95 + shipping.

I have a Pentopia 2+1 stylus, and am very pleased with it. fits any cases that give about 1/2" on the top and bottom of the visor, since the Pentopia is about an inch longer then the visor itself.

Well, I made my decision & decided to go with the Pentopia 2+1 pen. I decided to go with it because I had originally bought the Stylus+ Pen Combo by Autopoint ($15.00 at officemax) but did not like the way you had to keep turning the top to get the desired tool. Also a lot of time when I would turn the top I would get the wrong tool, plus the pen felt cheap. Anyway I decided to go with the Pentopia because it was easy to use, was all metal which has a nice weight to it, and is very durable and looks way cool!
Although the price was a bit much (25.95 at http://www.styluscentral.com + free shipping) I feel that this pen will last a long time.

PS: Also forgot to give a honorable mention to the ttools PDApoint pen. The cool thing about this is that the shirt clip fits into the stylus holder in the Visor so you can keep everything together. A very solid pen ($10.00 including shipping at http://www.ttools.com)
