I just got my IVD and now i realize that i need the serial port instead of the usb! so i'm stuck with no way to download anything
Does anyone have an extra serial port they are willing to sell? or is there an after market serial to usb converter?

please help me!

You are not the first one to make this mistake. However, there is a way to overcome this problem. Somebody posted instructions on how to change the USB cradle into a Serial cradle, or a dual mode cradle. Try doing a search, since I don't remember the topic name. If you are good enough with electronics, go for it. If not, you might just want to get a cradle from handspring, since most people who have serial cradles need them, and can't sell them.

If you are already running windows 98 it would probably be cheaper to go down to Comp USA and buy the 4 port USB (pci) card I think I saw it in this last Sundays add for twenty something dollars.
