Wintec Memory Springboards

Based off a link at a competing site I shall not mention (V V), I discovered this page, selling Wintec Branded Springboard memory modules...

Wintec Modules at Banana PC

Some of the better deals are:
16 mb Backup w/ 8 mb Flash (pro)for $85
8 mb Backup w/ 8 mb Flash for $55
16 mb Flash Module for $50
16 mb Backup Module (pro) for $40
8 mb Backup for $20

Supposedly, these also have the same file transfer program as the hagiwara modules.

Anyone hear of these or have experience with the company (Wintec or Bananapc.com)

I have a question about the module that is flash memory and a backup module. Can you actually run programs off the flash memory, or do you need to transfer the programs to the visor first? I know there is some memory that you need to do that, but I am not sure which kind it is.

Some programs will run nicely off Flash, others don't like to be there. And others will run just fine, but if you reset, it all goes to pot.

Generally, programs that don't need to write or store anything to RAM will work nicely in Flash. The only real way to find out though is try it out.
