Unhappy Tried to turn on my Prism tonight and its DEAD!! Why?

I picked up my Prism tonight to turn it on to check the battery level and its dead(UGH). It has been in my purse all day sitting on a chair. It worked last night and I have not moved it all day(sigh). I dont understand. I pamper my prism so much people actually make fun of me. When I hit the power button the screen flickers and rolls like the vertical hold use to do on the old tv's. I tried to do a soft reset and the only thing that came up was a black screen with a thin band of white around the edges. It wont even let me do a hard reset. Does any one have any suggestions? Please.

Mine did that tonight while I was playing around with my new modem. I hope you have a backup, because I had to do a hard reset to get it to work again. Oh yeah, put it in the charger for a few minutes if you think the battery may be dead.

I'm at a loss then, unless you leave it on until the battery runs out, then it has no choice but to reset.

Maybe your upgrade timer expired. It can't be a coincidence that your Prism died right when HS came out with new models.

Seriously, I have heard about a few people that had Prisms lock up so bad that they had to open them up and disconnect the battery for a hofl an hour or so to get them back, but this is a little extreme for most people.

If you aren't comfortable opening it up, it may be time to get on the phone for a replacement.

Have you tried sitting it in the Cradle and pressing the Hotsync button?

If it works, perhaps the backlight is gone... Then get it replaced!
