Edged Out?

Are Edge users edged out? There seems to be no accessories available for it. New accessories that are being announced such as the mini keyboards and joystick recently announced will not work with the Edge either. I dont have the Edge right now, but I am a bit concerned.

I don't think it's dead yet.

Considering it uses a newer connector config, and it was released not long ago, 3rd party vendors may wait or hesitate to put funds into a market that is a little soft for the moment. Consider also that there are not one but 2 new connectors on the market - the Edge and the M50x series.

The Stoway keyboard will be released later this year (see other thread). Other accessories... just wait till the edge goes color!

I replaced my Palmpilot Pro recently with the Edge. I played with the M500/505 and the HandEra 330. The Edge is a solid, nicely designed piece of kit. I love the thing and cannot wait for the eventual sled that will ride those side rails!

No. In fact I'm more and more pleased as I use it. It's got it where it counts (for my needs, at least).

I really like my Edge too (and will most definitely upgrade to the color one when available).

My only major frustration with the Edge at this time is that there is no auto/travel charger for it yet. There is one for the Prism, but not yet for the edge.

Handspring FINALLY came out with their travel charger, but if I read right its got a wall plug, not a cigarette lighter one. There is a third-party solution for the prism that would work if just the plastic connector (part that hooks straight to the Visor itself) were changed to match the Edge - but the developer doesn't have an Edge to test it with nor find the connectors anywhere.)

If I woulda been in charge, these items would've been release at the same time as the Edge itself (at the very least within a couple of weeks...but then, I'm not in charge, just still waiting)
