IR Printing via computer

I'm in the early stages of research currently, and I couldn't find anything in the archives about this here, but has anyone seen a solution for printing to a printer attached to a computer via IR (printing via IR, but printer attached via parallel)? All of the solutions I've found so far seem to print directly to IR capable printers. My printer is attached to my computer via parallel, but it has an IR interface. I suspect I'm SOL (at least until I wind up getting an HP990) since the software I've been able to find doesn't mention interfacing with an M$ shared printer via IR, but if there's any thing I haven't heard of, I'd appreciate it.
