Angry

Netscape is my preferred browser. IE does strange things to my system. Unfortunately I can't post to VisorCentral from netscape. I login but it never remembers that. Everytime I get to a page that requires authority I get prompted again. Then if I key in a post and get prompted it loses what I keyed in.

You must have it so that Netscape doesn't accept Cookies. Visorcentral, requires cookies to work.

(god that sounds bad.. oh well)

Nice try but no that isn't it. Cookies are enabled. Most other sites work just fine with them. Amazon knows who I am all the time. I even tried having Netscape warn before setting a cookie. Nothing when I logged in to VisorCentral.

I have had similar problems. It works Netscape on the system where I created the account, but not on any other Netscape, for example in Linux, or in Windows at work. If I log in, go into a group, and return to the main discussion screen I see it is asking me to log in again. And yes, all cookies are allowed.

I have the same problem using PalmScape. I know this used to work, as I have posted messages using PalmScape before. I think things may have changed since the discussion board was upgraded.

I thought is was something to do with how PS caches pages 'cause sometimes, after re-logging in, when I refresh the page it has remembered who I am. But after that point it forgets me. I do not have this issue with any other site that uses cookies to 'remember me'.

arrgh!
Now I have the same problem too!

My company switched from Win98 machines with Netscape 4.71 to
Win2000 machines with Netscape 4.77

Same problems. I can't even post.

Most annoying...

I had the same problem, so I copied the cookies.txt file from a machine (my work PC) that was working. Now I can post again. There must be a problem with the cookie setting logic with Netscape ... it used to work, but it doesn't now.

This needs to be fixed, since everything else works great with Netscape.

Try now

Made some modifications to the code... give it a try now.

You must clear out your exisiting cookie, either manually or automatically. To clear it out manually, open the file cookies.txt located in your Netscape User folder. Delete all entries that start with discussion.visorcentral.com

Thanks,

Marcus

PS. Posting this from Netscape 4.7
