Question

Is it just me or does the Innopocket (http://www.innopocket.com) site look fake? None of the links work and there is no contact information. Could this just be a doctored up photo and nifty web site?

I'll rev up my PayPal account and order the Matchbook drive instead, especially since we have such a great review of it on Visor Central.

Skeptical...

Thumbs down

I agree. I also couldn't get anything on the site to work.

check the links on this thread...the second one leads to a site where you can pre-order.

We have received the Innopocket Smart Cover for review, so they are indeed a real company.

Talking

Great!
I'm glad to know they aren't bogus. Maybe the new web site isn't open for everyone yet.

I ordered my Matchbook Drive CompactFlash Adapter yesterday and look forward to others expanding the whole CompactFlash/Visor line. The more people who develop for CompactFlash/Visor compatibility the more likely I'll be able to take advantage of other CompactFlash solutions like Ethernet cards!

I went to the link were they had it on pre-order. I noticed that the price was $22 US. However, to ship to the U.S cost $38. In the end that is $4 less than the adapter from Matchbook (once you include the software). I ordered from Matchbook as they still have the special for $30. Also, we already have that great review on the Matchbook, I saw no point in waiting.
I would like to see a review of the Innopocket just see if it's any better. For the price, it makes a nice gift for any Visor user.

here's the interesting thing...the site where you can pre-order the Innopocket now says $29.12 USD!!!! yesterday it said $22.21 !!! i think the price is calculated based on a currency conversion. It's amazing to see such drastic changes in price from day to day

Buy this module is like investing in foreign currency!

FYI

I just went to the Innopocket site and noticed it has been updated. They are selling the CF Adapter at $39 plus shipping. I wonder how much they charge for shipping?

If you haven't, read Matchbook's news release, http://www.visorcentral.com/page/0-2-855-2.htm

I think that the better company here is fairly clear now.

No, its another company. Its close enough to cause confusion though, especially since InnoGear has plans to come out with its own drives some day.
