Cool

How about having the battery slide side-ways, on and off the back of future visors? There could be a slim battery which fits flush with the visor, and larger batteries which would stick out a little bit. The cradle would have a charging slot for spare batteries. The visor would also have a replaceable button cell battery, like a CR2025, which would save the memory during swapping, or even with a dead battery.

Lightbulb Just an idea

Or how about taking a leaf out of Japanese portable MD players? A flat/slim rectangular Lithium rechargeable battery (some as thin as 1cm), plus an external detachable battery carrier to carry ordinary AA (not AAA) batteries for extended power when required?

I believe the Apple Newton did this with a NiCd battery and a AAA pack adapter for when you couldn't recharge.

Lightbulb Springboard Power Supply :)

Probably not possible, but if Handspring could create a battery pack that worked with the springboard slot, you could get extra life out of a Prism for long road trips.

Even cooler: a solar panel Springboard. That way, Al Gore can be really happy with Visors. :^)
