Cool

I saw Vice President Gore on the news last night campaigning and it appeared he was wearing a Palm 7 with an E&B Slipper case. Is this true? Do you think he knows how to use it or is it just for show?

OF COURSE he knows how to use it! How could the father of the Internet NOT know how?!

Exclamation

It's well known that several politicians from BOTH the Democratic & Republican parties use Palm VIIs because of the wireless capability.

Given that, and given the tone of the previous posts, I would suggest that the LAST place we need to start a partisan flame war over personal political preferences is on the VisorCentral discussion board!

Wink

I was just saying how suprised I was that Gore was intelligent enough to figure out how to use a Palm 7. I was certainly not trying to make a disparaging remarks about him

Lightbulb

Hey, who is being partisan? Do I need to be Republican in order to take issue with a Democrat's claiming to be something that he cannot be by any stretch of the imagination? C'mon! "Inventor" of the Internet?! Someone forgot that he wasn't supposed to inhale!

Are you saying that Gore was indeed being an honest public servant?

Anyway, what I said was a joke, and in light of Gore's own faux pas, there isn't any other way in which my post should have been read. I could even like Gore and still have made that post with integrity.

Red face

Oh, let's not talk about that here! Set up another site for that. This is about our Visors, not politicians!

Wired did a piece on Gore a couple months ago which discussed how tech savvy he is (or wants to appear to be). He was instrumental in opening the Internet to the commercial area (the .com thing was what he "invented" more than the Internet... hence the "I invented the Internet" flub).

According the article he really is pretty smart and he really does "get" this techie stuff.
