I've been looking at the details of the minijam, and one of the features it is supposed to have is a programmable LED alarm. I cannot find any more information about that though.

To current owners of the minijam:

(1) Does the LED alarm work with any application that uses or sets alarms?

(2) Does using the minijam in this fashion incur a significant battery drain? Or is the battery drain only when playing MP3s?

This seems like the ideal module for me, as I would like to have the integration of an MP3 player with the visor, as well as an LED for alarms (since I am slightly hearing impaired, and cannot hear the alarms that emit from the speaker).

Thanks all,

Matthew

It doesn't work. It only flashes when you insert the MiniJam. Like everything else Innogear has promised, the ability to trap alarms and make the LED flash instead of having an audible alarm has never been released.

Thumbs down

Well my wife had already ordered it for me, but I think I am going to cancel it. I have heard a lot of negative things about Innogear, but I can't believe that they would list the LED as a feature and not even support it!

I don't know about the LED function (I never even knew it was alleged to have it), but I do love my MiniJam. I keep it in as my usual module. And with the new case from Vaja that was co-designed by it and Innogear specifically for the Deluxe and MiniJam, I can do that with ease.
