Re: Re: weird behaviour from my visor deluxe

As for the other problems you noted, has the unit been sitting idle for an extended period of time? If so, a fresh set of batteries and a hard reset might be needed. This will remove everything from the VDx and return it to its out-of-the-box state.
Actually, it had. My friend tells me that he'd left it lying about for a while and when he turned it on, it died. He replaced the battery but didn't reinstall anything.
When he gave it to me, it had been reset and nothing was in it (not even the upgrade). I added some data (which I can reenter) so I guess I could live with that.

Other things that could be wrong are software conflicts and maybe even hardware issues.
Ugh, that's what I'm hoping against.
quote: As long as there is no necessary data stored on it (or if you have access to the backup data), I would be inclined to remove the batteries overnight (to fully erase the memory), pop in a fresh set, and see if it acts the same in its initial state.
Ok, I'll see if I can HotSync it first then try that.

Which is still $200 Canadian. :-)
Thanks,
