Rechargable Battery pack for Deluxe

Man in my first month I went through 3 sets of batteries. I am just wondering if there is a rechargable battery pack out there I can buy?

There are several. Just browse through the Products and Reviews section and check out the reviews and user feedback.

ugh I have been through this site and other trying to find out which batteries to use.

I kinda want something that works the way the visor edge and prism work. Just stick it in a cradle and it charges.

So the most interesting one I found was the Innogear innopower cradle. I wonder if I could put some rechargable batteries in the Visor Deluxe and just use the cradle?

The VDx cannot be recharge from a cradle... it doesn't have the necessary connections between the connector and the batteries.

Maybe you should wait for the Charge'N'Run to be released if you want a drop-in-the-cradle solution.

Look around here for some dude gadgetguru or something like that. He makes stuff, seems like he rigged up a cradle that charges and sells them. Heck, he may even be up to making one just for the challenge? Challenge and some $ maybe?

I went to Fry's got a charger that does AA, AAA and 9v batteries. Cost $9 or so, got some 700 milli-amp AAAs and am very happy w/ the purchases.

Start using springboards and you will find they strain and drain the snot out of some batteries.

if you are 1337 enough, you can try making the vdx rechargable in the cradle just like the pro:

http://www.maksystems.com/visor/

plys then you could buy replacement rechargable batteries from radio shack instead of having to buy custom ones online.

I didn't make the charging cradle for the DX. I sell travel chargers
and adaptors for the Prism, Pro and Edge.

Thanks for the plug tho!

No problemo. We can put our automotive differences aside and all get along as geeks. I'll plug a "dark sider" when appropriate. LOL How does your car run anyway?

Runs fine for me. I haven't raced a Z28 or Firebird off the line, but
they can't pull away from me on the freeway. They should beat
me off the line because of the power/weight ratio. But, I paid
about $4000 less than they did brand new. Don't get me wrong,
I like the Camaros and Firebirds. I test drove a Camaro and just
didn't like not seeing the nose of the car. I'm sure I could have
gotten used to it. I just like the looks and price of the Mustang.
My first was a 2000 Performance Red GT, then traded for the
current 2001 Zinc Yellow GT Premium. Fun car to drive. I have
almost 17000 miles on it since new in April '01 and not a lick of
trouble.

Ok, I realize I'm a bit late in the addition to this old post, but I just found a link to an easy mod.

http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/...2596655,00.html

Understand my tech/geek/hack skills are very low (I had to buy the soldering gun, and it had no instructions :confused, and the only reason I even did this is I've had my VDX for..let's see, 1, carry the four...since they were on backorder in the beginning . And I was willing to risk it, so I could tell my wife I fried it and have to buy a new rechargeable one. Luckily, it worked. It charges and works great. Give it a look, it really was easy.
