Does anyone here have the CEO from Marware?
http://www.marware.com/Products/Pal...__for_palm.html

I want to get a case that will hold my Visor, leave room for springboards and be able to hold my driverslicence/bankcard
/credit cards/money. Essentially I want to replace my wallet and ideally be able to still fit it in my front pocket. Am I dreaming here? The CEO seems to have all the features I am looking for (and only $29!!) but reading the dimensions makes me think it is going to be too big. What do you think? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Trevor

I'm interested too. If you need other choices you should visist this site: http://www.fredlet.com/palm/cases/casesfr.htm
It's very useful.

I saw your post and checked out the CEO from Marware. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, so I ordered one. I should have it by the end of this week and I'll let you know what I think of it.

If you're interested there is a very similar case made by Fossil (Zipper closure though). The price is almost the same ($28 free shipping). I have one and love it.

I ordered both Fossil and Marware cases. I should get both of them by the end of the week. I will give you my 2 cents when I get the cases.

I got my CEO case from Marware today. The construction is good and I really like the reptile skin embossed leather. The thing I dislike about it is the velcro used to secure the Visor in the case. The placement of it is such that one piece attaches to the springboard cover and the other covers the battery compartment. Another problem seems to be the ability to fit anything in the case besides the Visor. I don't have anything else in the case(not even the notepad) except my Visor and it doesn't want to close easily. It seems as if the case's spine isn't thick enough.

I haven't got mine yet. I don't like the velcro idea either but I plan to use the plastic cover that comes w/ the visor and attach velcro to it and attach it to the back of the visor. That way I don't have to attach velcro to the visor itself. And if I want to hotsync I can just remove the visor from the plastic cover and the plastic cover stays attach to the case. I think this will work.

I received both CEO and FOSSIL cases this morning (3/2). I agreed w/ Marfu that the spine of the CEO case is not big enough. It is very hard to close the case w/ the Visor and 2 note pads the comes w/ the case. I like FOSSIL case much better. It uses two elastics/leather strap to hold the visor or any PDA down. No use of any velcro. I'll keep the Fossil and send back the CEO. By the way Fossil case also comes w/ a pretty good looking pen that you see in the picture on their site and shipping is free.
One thing I want to let you know, with Visor in both cases, the cases will be too big to fit in shirt pocket probably too big for some pants pocket. I will only use the case in a meeting because I can use the note pad and have access to my business card. For personal use, I still use the slip case the comes w/ the visor and put it in my pants pocket.
I hope this helps.

Question

saranss,

Do you have the dimensions of the fossil case? Is there much room inside the case above the Visor? (for an extended springboard like the pager) Is there a pocket behind the Visor or credit card slots?

I'm sending back the Marware case and trying to decide between the fossil or the devian DVP3 cases.

Thanks for the help.

Marfu,
With the Visor in, it is approx. 4.25x5.75x1.25
It is similar to DVP3 but w/o the middle pad/pocket. The Fossil case has 6 credit card slots on the left side. If you want to use a note pad, it will go on the top slot and leave you w/ 5 for credit cards.
Pen holder is on the left side and stylus holder on the right. The best thing is ... no velcro. You can see it for yourself at www.fossil.com/retail/MainFrameset.asp?Tier1=Shopping&Tier2=D4 and follow executive gifts link
I hope this helps.
