I don't know either. I got a DataQuake for Christmas and have been very happy so far. Initially, I thought there was a problem with battery consumption but then I discovered that the rechargeable batteries I was using were going bad. A new set of batteries did the trick.
With regard to the bells and whistles of the DataQuake, the vibrating alarm is very strong (the first time it went off in the pocket of my jacket it I jumped). The flashing alarm works well but it is not something that I use. The promise of DataQuake enabled games is a little misleading. Despite the information provided with the module and some statements on their webpage, there is no link at the site for such enabled games. Maybe in the future? They probably shouldn't advertise it until they actually have some.
There were a couple of threads around where people had some problems with the filemover app and errors. I did not have such problems with the DataQuake and my Visor Platinum.
