My friend just bought a surplus unit from a local Future Shop, (ok, it's a Palm III, not a Visor, but this is an OS issue) and it's stuck in "demo mode". Even a hard reset won't get it out. Even leaving the AAA's out over night didn't do it. Does anyone know how to get this damned thing back to normal mode?

Supposedly, if you upgrade the Palm III to OS v3.3 (free from Palm?), the unit will become fully functional.
You can also look into this shareware app at PalmGear.
