I'm reading about all of these issues about the Prism having grafitti recognition issues.

Now, because the Prism & Platinum were released at the same time, and theyre both using dragonball 33mhz microcontroller, does this mean that the Platinum suffers from this "grafitti" recognition problem too?


any reports of platinum owners having similar problems as prism?

Maybe I'm lucky, but I have a clear screen, good grafitti recognition and no complaints. Probably why I like my Platinum so much....

Jkoc,

The primary reason(s) for the Prism's digitizer problems has to do with color LCDs on Palm OS devices than anything else. There seems to be a great deal of electronic noise (non-audible) or clutter that cause interference with the digitizer. It becomes more evident at higher brightness levels. The phenomenon first became evident on the Palm IIIc when it first shipped, and still exists today. Whether or not you end up with this problem on a Prism or IIIc seems to rest on "luck of the draw".

Needless to say, you will NOT find these issues on a Platinum.
