Question What does accept mean?

I dont want to do a Clinton on you, but it would depend on your definition of accepted.

Do you mean?
1. To regard as true; believe in
or
2. To endure resignedly or patiently

I think the second definition has already come to pass. Even the red tape infested company I work for has adopted the second definition. They even went so far as to try & negotiate a special discount for Palms. Its between 7 10 % of the list price. (Meaning you can get it cheaper on your own). But its the thought that counts - right?

As the resident Uber Geek Ive hooked about 16 people so far. And due to the company acceptance of the PDAs we are now allowed to install the software on our work computers.

But as far as real acceptance. I define that as:
1. Approval for Business application software purchases: HanDBase, ThinkDB, Quick sheet, etc.
2. Approval for Business application hardware purchases: Presenter-To-Go, Eye Module, Memplug, Keyboard, etc.
3. Employees doing things to support PDA applications:
* Sending actual emails  not word documents attached to emails;
* Company phone books on intranet in PDA file format
* Beaming your boss your vacation schedule/request

But basically it comes down to the money. When companies really feel that PDAs are important and contribute to the bottom line they will start paying for basic hardware, software the way that they do for PC stuff. (Which sometimes still takes 2 miles of paperwork for a $60 scanner)

Just my 39 cents worth
