Angry

All of my callers/or any I call says "I can hear myself, right after speaking, that's so irritating!" Anyone else experiencing this "echo" with their visorphones or any other GSM phone ???
This is my second unit, I think I'm going for three ???
Thanks

I think this is a well-known problem.
I'd keep returning it until I got a newer production model that doesn't have it anymore.

Thanks bkbk,
I did not realize that this was a reoccurring problem.
Do you know of other "consistent" porblems ?
I have contacted Handspring for a replacement,
Thanks again.
Chris

I've had problems with the headphone jack and the vibrating alarm.

Talking Visor phone echo

Had the same problem with mine when i used an external head set. Not when I used my Prism held to my head. Cust. svc @ Handspring insisted that this is a frequent problem, but the problem was with the the headset, not the phone. My responce was "well, I have used four different types of headsets & the problem still occars. Received my replacement visor phone the very next day & presto ! No more echo, actually even sounded better.

Headset is the way to go

For me, the problem is trying to even hear out of the VisorPhone. I have found that I have to lean the bottom of the phone away from my head. But now the microphone is further away. To combat this, I most always use the headset if I think the call will last longer than the time it will take me to pull it out. Everyone I am talking with are astounded at how good they can now hear me. I have a sneaking suspicion that the mic in my handheld is crap -- but I don't want to wait for a replacement.

What do do? :::sigh:::

visor phone echo

if you have a prism, you should have recieved a foam cut out pad to place over your internal speaker since the prism is thicker than the deluxe or solo, it helps bridge that distance gap. I pesonaly don't like that pad & also only use one of four different head sets almost exclusively.

Angry How about volume?

Maybe Im just stupid, but is there any way to adjust
the phone volume? (Earpiece / headset)
Mine is SOOO loud. It actually painful to use
the headset and the mic gain is so high as well
so the background noise is unbearable...

thanks
josh
