I haven't gotten the CF driver yet. I do however have the Sony Wireless card. I love it. Its fun browseing the web on my NX. I've made a few postings on this board via my NX and its web browser "Net Front"

I am hoping that this new cf driver will make the Micro drive available to me.

C'mon. It's obvious that Neo is in the Matrix there, so he sorta counts as a robot. Considering the jack in his cranium, he's basically a cyborg in the world of the real as well. Plus, he probably carries an NZ-90 in his trench.

Wow, I'm so honored to be remembered... yes it has been a while since I visited VC in depth. It's so nice to hear from everyone.

I would pop in once in a blue moon to check on the discussions.

Let's see... from a personal standpoint: Got my MD degree, got married, and expecting a baby girl in Oct.

From a PDA standpoint:

Visor Deluxe
Visor Platium
Sony Clie N760
Sony Clie T665
Palm Tungsten T

Yeah...kinda strange all the Palm blashing that I had been doing on these boards and I ended up buying the Tungsten T.

Anyway, my take on the Tungsten is that it's only going to be a transitional PDA. Still waiting for something to come along with >16mb memory and 320x480 screen. The Garmin looks pretty nice.

Anyway...speaking of past members... where's Warman?

So it seems like a lot of Palm brand rebelers are back in the Palm camp. I'm still in Sony's camp and hopefully they'll continue to do the right thing, but I am very glad to see Palm kicking it up a notch.

After over a year with the HE330, it's time to upgrade. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the zire 71. Seems to be fairly close to what I want...we'll see how well Kinoma (sp?) handles TNG. I'd really be all about the T|C, but why in the name of all that's sacred (heh, there I go again) does it only have a mono headphone jack?

Maybe it's just OfficeMax. My local OfficeMax still stocks the Handspring stuff. No sign of the T|T. OfficeDepot has had them since the beginning of November, 2002.

There are several possibilities including VoIP, cheapness of using more common parts from the T|W, not wanting to disqualify it from corporate purchase accounts because of a 'non-business' feature like MP3, etc. *shrug* I suppose they could always add WiFi to the next fall Zire in Oct./Nov. Palm just seems to have a tendency to get things _almost_ right. The T|T has been (and still is, truly) the closest anyone has come so far for my needs/wants. I'm unlikely to go to something else for the forseeable future.
