Question

My dad's having a problem with his VisorPhone, and alas I don't have one available to try to troubleshoot this for him. (I live in the land of no GSM coverage...)

He says when he has the Visorphone plugged in, he can't access the addresses and other non-phone-number info in his Address Book. Tapping on any name goes to the Dial screen. He says he has to remove the Visorphone to get to this data.

I can't see that being the way Handspring would design this thing, but alas I don't have one handy to find the workaround to get to the address info. I'm assuming there has to be a menu item, a different spot to tap, etc?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Dennya,

I have a Visorphone, and if I'm not careful to tap on the NAME only, it asks me if I want it to dial that person. Ask your dad to try tapping toward the left side of the screen, far away from the number, and see if that works.

Cool

If I tap on the phone number, it brings up the dial screen. If I tap on the name, it brings up the normal address view screen, with the Edit, Dial, etc. buttons.

Thanks, folks. That's how I *thought* I remembered it working. I suggested he try that, but I guess he was still clicking too close to the number. I forwarded your messages and now he has it working.
