Treos at Amazon (180 is now free)

I just noticed that Amazon has the Treo 180 for FREE ($99 - $100 rebate) if you activate a new service plan.

Also noticed that the Treo 270 is listed as no longer available or discontinued.

Why would that be? This seems like closeout pricing for the 180 and they already aren't carrying the 270.

They sold out of the 270 just a week or so ago.

The 270 was going for $299 with rebates a week or so ago. I've been using a 180 and had been thinking about getting a 270 but was investigating whether it made sense to get another plan to get the pricing. By the time I determined it would have been, the 270s were gone (with old pricing up instead). So, I went with Sprint and the 300, which works out better anyway.
