Red face

Warning for all users concerning MP3 useage via Internet. Program called Wrapster grabs any file off a hard drive and loads it to Napster as a MP3 file. Speadsheeets, etc.!!!!

All those Napster-using employees in your company aren't just wasting time
listening to music. They could be exposing corporate systems to a program that
can disguise any files as MP3 files and download them without anybody knowing
it.

I think you are looking for the "Conspiracy Theory" forum, not "General Visor."

I know it can be done, thanks. This was originally posted in the "General Visor" forum--the reason for my post.

Yeah, I posted to wrong area. Expected the Web Site admin to take care of moving to proper location.

I posted the alert since users are downloading the files for use on PDA's. My son is using Napster for music files. Now that we are cable-modem-networked, my firewall allows nothing on the internet to share files on our eqiupment. Probing activity on "always on" internet connections are a serious problem. Check out Steve Gibson's site at http://www.grc.com.
