Okay, so I've deleted AvantGo from my Visor, but now every time I sync it says "your version of AvantGo needs to be updated" or some such thing. How do I get rid of it altogether?

You probably also need to delete Mobile Link on your Visor. Also you should uninstall AvantGo/Mobile Link on your pc or at least set the conduit to 'Do Nothing'.
