One of the great things about buying a visor is I found this great message board!

they should include a piece of paper with a link to this messageboard in every visor box or an address book entry with the URL of this site on it on every Visor.

I've had electronic organizers before (Zarus, HP, etc). But it wasn't until I discovered this web site that I really got hooked! I would have never switched to a Prism, bought a Memplug, or a visor phone if not for ya'll. Maybe Handspring should be giving Visorcentral a commission?

Thanks to all my friends I've never met!

I love my VDX! This message board is cool also. I intend to get a Prism soon - hopefully the price will fall a bit more if/when HS releases new models.

They say the mind is the first thing to go...

As I grow older, and my memory more unreliable, I depend more and more on my Visor. As another has said, it's become the third lobe of my brain.

Red face

I hope the person who voted that it's a worthless piece of plastic and metal is joking.

Probably a Pocket PC fan. I know there are some out there, although I can't see why. The interface is like searching for banana slices in pudding in my short experience with it. Nothing like my initial experience with Palm OS. Sorry, though, didn't mean to go off topic.

I love my Visor and as soon as there is a compelling replacement, I will get a new one. I have become totally dependent on it, and I love how much I can do with it.

Now: Worthless Piece of Metal
If my replacement ever arrives: More valuable than coffee.

I have to use a linear combination of the responses in the poll. I would be completely lost without my Visor -- it is what I have instead of a memory. It is definitely worth every penny I have put into it. Mine is also a pretty rugged little guy -- there are a couple of nicks in the plastic but it has really withstood a lot of use and come through well.

That said, I have to admit that it's about time for an upgrade. I am needing more memory, more expansion options, and just more functionality all around. I don't need one of those $700 PPC monstrosities but something along the lines of a Handera with a color screen would be nice. So far the right upgrade has not been manufactured yet, so my Visor will be the PDA of choice for a while longer.

Neutral here also. I have a M505, not a fan of the color. To much battery and very dim. I also miss the big casing. I just ordered a Pro and this will be my first Visor . Being a power user I hope it is a nice unit.

You miss the big casing? Do you mean the M505 is too slim for your taste? Could you please explain? I would think thinner would be better (unless it's too thin for a springboard slot )

Ok . I will explain.
The 505 in your hand hits two spots of contact. The sides of your hands. The visor or any other bigger pda fits in your hand to the bottom of your palm. At least this is what I found with me.I feel like I have a better hold of the unit when it is deeper in my hand. The M505 is more expensive and I feel like I have a death grip on it all the time.

I agree with Tritan and I didn't like the way it held. The deluxe and prism feel so much better to hold.

Thanks for the complement PastaGrrrl. I'm taken Though. I promise, however, that if I'm ever back in the market I will give first priority to my fellow Visor addicts.

Sorry. Anyway, I can see how a slightly thicker PDA the size of a standard Visor might be better to handle than Palm V size. Any thoughts from Edge users?
