Question

Am I correct in saying that the only non-cosmetic differences between the Visor and the Visor Deluxe is the amount of memory and the leather case?

Also, has anyone heard anything about weight or dimensions?

Exclamation

The Deluxe (according to the rumor mill) is supposed to be the one offered in several colored translucent covers. But other than that, you appear to be correct in your saying.

No word on system specs just right now. We'll have to wait for more blabbermouths who read them off the box that came with their development units, or Handspring to post them.

Death to <P> tags!

Thumbs up

The complete specs are detailed on the handspring web page. It also has a comparison between models.

Question

Well, there is one thing that looks trange to me.
Last week on some news (ZDNET http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/n...2330104,00.html ) site there were a short info about what models Handspring is going to sell:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>
<LI> Visor Solo (only one color, no sync cradle) ~ $150
<LI> Visor (one color, USB sync cradle) ~ $180
<LI> Visor Deluxe (many (5) colors, USB sync cradle, 8 MB, leather case) ~ $250
</UL>

... and now the strangeness :
On www.handspring.com homepage they are saying about 2 models (Solo, Deluxe), but on the comparising table (on Details page) they compare (Deluxe with model incl. USB sync cradle for ~ $180).

So, do they have 2 models (Deluxe for ~$250 and another, which is for ~ $150 without cradle) or do they have 3 models as described on ZDNet news page?

Tom

The way I understand it is that there are three "models", but the only difference between the Visor Solo and the Visor is that the Visor comes with a cradle while the Visor Solo does not.
