Lightbulb

I remember a thread that talked about different cases, and someone had a link to a shoulder holster. It could carry a PDA, cell phone, pager and assorted other stuff. I'll be darned if I can find it...

Or is it a figment of my over-active imagination?

Any help would be appreciated...

It's definitely not your imagination. I seem to recall the thread being titled something like "Okay, I'm a complete geek now" or something like that.
Sorry I can't be more help, but I definitely remember the thread.

Talking Bedankt!

Thanks ToolkiT,

That's the link I was looking for. I tried the search function, but I was using the general Search and not the one in the discussion boards. (smacks self on head).

Maar ik ben niet an kaaskoop!

fixitgal,

I've got the holster and really like it. You can go to the web site at http://www.eholster.com. It is very comfortable to wear and lightweight. I carry my Visor Deluxe and a cell phone in mine, but you can get other pouches to carry other things too. I bought the Cordura nylon one and it has a leather harness for your shoulders. Recently I went to Helsinki, Finland and took it thorough the security check point at the airport. It did get a couple odd looks, but I showed it to the security personnel and they thought it was neat. I work around the US military daily and it does get some side glances here too. Usually they think I'm some sort of special investigator (I'm not) but when asked about it, I show it to them and they like the idea. You can wear it under a jacket and it is very concealed. There is no perceptable bulge under the jacket. I got tired of wearing my cell phone and Visor ala Batman on my belt and getting poked in the side.

The most expensive model of the Eholster is the full leather one. It is about $99, but still a good bargain when compared to a comparable Visor wallet and cell phone case. If you work in an area where police might be concerned about someone reaching into pull out a firearm, please be careful. There is a white label on the back where the straps meet that identifies it as an Eholster, but other than that, it looks just like a firearm holster. If your arms are at your side, it can be difficult to see that you are only armed with a plethora of electronics, not a pistol. I hope this helps with your decision. I don't think you'll run into any problems with it and I do like mine very much.

Cool

If one finds the pricing of the EHolster to be a bit steep, there is a cheaper alternative in the Landware BurroPac.
http://www.landware.com/burropak/palmos/index.html

It's the one I use (cheapskate that I am). The pouch has two compartments, so it probably could carry a Visor and a Stowaway keyboard (or a springboard or two).

The EHolster does look nicer, though.

Yep, parents are Dutch. The immigrated to the States just before I was born. I still speak Dutch fluently. Of course it's not very useful, even when I travel to Holland, since nearly everyone in Holland speaks English. But it's fun to surprise people

RadarGreg and Winchell,

Thanks for the product feedback. I'm getting really tired of hauling all my toys on my belt. Don't know if a holster will improve my "girlgeek" look though...

Thanks all!
