Remote Hotsync and PalmVNC Problems

Hey everyone!

I have a problem that I can't seem to figure out so I hope someone here can help me out.

I can no longer do a remote hotsync or use PalmVNC with my Prism/Minstrel. I use to be able to do this before no problem but all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. Now I'm pretty sure it is not a problem with the Prism/Minstrel or any software on that hardware because I also have a Samsung I300 Palm smartphone and it can't connect to the computer either when trying to do a remote hot sync or use PalmVNC. I have checkmarks next to modem, local, and network in the hotsync manager as well as all my user profiles checked off under the "networks" tab in the manager. I am also certain that the passwords on the WinVNC app and the PalmVNC app match so that is not a problem. Both apps are also obviously running when I attempt these two tasks. IP addresses and computer names are also entered correctly in the appropriate places on the Prism. Since both of these tasks do not work I am almost sure it is not a problem related to one of the apps in particular but a more general problem on my laptop. I am on a university LAN but that has not been a problem in the past when performing these tasks. I have also not installed any new software recently so that shouldn't be a concern. Did a virus check and that came up empty as well. At this point I am almost ready to give up. I am hoping that someone here can help me out or else I am afraid I'll be forced to do without these two very powerful features that I have come to depend on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Marty
