I just saw the front page news regarding these new direct connect cables that are for sale......and they make one that connects my cell to my deluxe.....but does anyone know what I would have to do after that to dial into an account? Do I need extra software etc? I can't find anything on the manufacturer website.........

TIA

Visor -> Sanyo Cable Backordered

I don't know about the other Handspring cables, but the cable to connect the VDX to a Sanyo SCP-4000 phone is backordered, and won't ship til the beginning of May. On the supplynet website, it said the cable was ready to ship the same day, but after ordering the cable, I received a message that it was actually *not* available. Just a warning that the information on their website may not be entirely correct...

When they produce a cable for the Nokia, I'm there.

Ha you and me both. After ordering last Thursday, I got an immediate reply that it would be shipping on Friday and I would get a tracking number on Monday. Then on Friday I got the infernal "backordered until May" email...

The thing is, a little over a week ago the website had said the SCP-4500 cable would be ready on April 20th. Last Thursday (19th) I thought "Hey! They're ahead of schedule!"

Strange. I'm just hoping that my 6-months free Wireless Web trial from Sprint doesn't expire like, tomorrow.

Oops... you need to have wireless web on your service plan to do this?

I had just cancelled the wireless web service on my account since I hardly ever used it... guess I should sign up again?
