Talking Anybody know where I can get closeout or cheap springboard modules?

Hey,

I have seen some stores like the staples on park and 56 street having a sounds good for $96 without the software...and a memplug for $35 new. I also saw tiger woods modules in compusa on 57 and 8th avenue for $9.99. Anyone else seen cheapo modules anywhere?

Cheers

cheaply priced modules

Hello there V.P.Man,

I bought the original EYEMODULE for my VISOR PRISM at http://www.outpost.com. Cost me $20.

In the search field just enter EYEMODULE. Hope this helps.

cheaply priced modules

okay, now it's my turn to ask. I got an email from COMP USA stating they have a 4 day HANDSPRING clearance. Including a refurbished PRISM for $150.

I was looking at the accessories section and found 2 items that caught my eye.

One is the OMNI SKY MINSTREL S MODEM for $99.88

Second is the 8MB FLASH MODULE, this one is an open box item.

I need to know, if either one is a good purchase and how good are COMP USA open box items?

Thnx, JOhn

Talking Open Box is okay

Hey,

It just means that it was a display item...how much was the 8mb Flash Module...The Minstrel modem only works with a service activation which is like $59.99 a month ouch...I find the displays at comp usa to be cool. They are behind glass. Go for it.

If it is any consolation - OPEN BOX items at CompUSA are not only displays - 90% open box is returned merchandise that CompUSA was unable to RTV (return to vendor). So most likely this was for the best because you won't have to deal with returning damaged goods (or getting stuck with them due to all sales are final kinda deal)

Thnx Gambit, guess the old saying "things happen for a reason" applies.

Which GPS module is better in terms of features and reliability?

MAGELLAN or HANDY

And which online store has them at the lowest prices?

OfficeDepot already clearanced out all the Visor stuff months ago.

Staples still has Visor's and stuff, prob to be on clearance soon.

CompUSA has alittle left, but dropped most.

WalMart has backup modules for $15, 8mb flash modules for $30. I got a stylus 3 pack for $5 at Target. These deals are only good at the stores themselves.

Talking Keep an eye on Staples

They had an assortment of goodies for great prices! I Saw:

Stowaway for $45
Gameface for $10
Cases for 12-14
5 Pk Stylus $8

there were more....
