Question

I currently have the regular Visor, I was wondering if it would be possible to exchange it through Handspring for a Visor Prism if I pay the difference in cost. This would save me some time, and I won't have to deal with selling my 4 month old Visor. Anyone tried this, or know if it can be done?

It's been tried plenty of times with no avail. Let us know if you have any luck.

Unhappy Handspring claims it can't be done...

I received this reply from Handspring:

Thank you for your inquiry. Handspring is a technology company
constantly developing and releasing new products. We do not offer
upgrade or side-grade paths from one to another, nor will we be
accepting trade-ins. Technology companies must revise and improve their
product lines on an ongoing basis. Handspring cannot pre-announce
releases for competitive reasons like any other innovative retailer. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I'm guessing this means I'm going to just have to buy the Visor Prism and sell my Visor to help eat up the cost of the new one. I'm going to wait until next month though just to see if a deal happens to come about.

You should be able ot sell it on ebay or somewhere else pretty easily. If you bought it at Best Buy with the service contract, and you had a problem with it, they would let you upgrade to another model just applying the amount of your purchase to the new model.
