Best way to restore palm setup after Windows Reinstall?

I need advice on the best and most efficient way to restore my palm desktop setup AFTER i do a complete reinstall of my OS.

How will i get my profile back, reinstall of conduits, etc... has anyone done this before? any tips?

Thanks

*bump*

Someone out there must've done this before..

Is it jsut a matter of reinstalling palm desktop from scratch, then setting the conduit to have handheld override desktop for everything?

Install Palm Desktop using the same Hotsync ID you were using before, set the datebook, address, memo and todo conduits to Handheld overwrites desktop and sync.

Then install any 3rd party conduits that you might have been using in the past. Set those to Handheld overwrites Desktop and sync.

Hmph.. I feel like an idiot. Seems pretty damn simple..

Does anyone remember how a profile is first created? is it during the palm desktop install? I just forget since it's been so long and I've only done it once.

During the Desktop install process, you are asked for a Hotsync ID. As long as you make sure to use the same one that's set in your visor, you should be as good as gold. If you're not sure, just start up the Hotsync app on your visor and it's up there in the top right corner.
