Unhappy UD suspends promotions

This is kind of a bummer, but UD has suspended promotions to stay afloat.

I wasn't doing it for the promotions, and what the actual chance that I'd win anything anyway...

BTW, I've got 4 machines cranking away now! (I'm BimBoy) Getting LOTS of hits lately, too! I'm wondering if there's a different set of molecules that are more hopeful than previous ones and that's the reason for increased hit counts.

Nice to see that they finally got caught up with the stats.

Unhappy Retired

Well guys, it was fun while it lasted, but I had to retire from the team. We went through a Windows upgrade at work, and were not allowed to install any "unauthorized" software. And since I use a Mac at home, I can't download the UD software.

Keep up the good work!!!

Nice work guys! We've busted into the hundreds (instead of thousands) rank for all categories. Anybody know we are listed in green text for the "Avg. Points Per Hour of CPU Time"? I'm wondering if we are leading that category.

I want to know what the heck imaclone is running the ud agents on! Nice work though. I'll give it a couple of weeks before he's ahead of all of us (and he just joined a month ago!).

Happy Holidays to all of you. Keep up the good work.

ThirdMan

At long last, I really am the Third Man! (I hit 3rd place in our team by points ranking this last weekend.)

I am amazed I have gotten this far because I am running the UD app on a pile of very junky computers at work.

Cool things.

Anywho, does anyone know how long the Anthrax part will take? Weeks, months or years?

I'd rather not be working on curing anthrax because look at it this way:

How many people are sick with cancer?
How many people are sick with anthrax? How many people killed, for that matter.

I agree.
The only good part is that the anthrax bit is a much smaller task (so they say) than the cancer thing.

I set my profile to not do the Anthrax studies, only cancer, but it's still crunching anthrax stats on all 5 pc's I'm installed on.

Anybody else having the same probs?

I just looked and am 4th in terms of points but 3rd for the number of results returned.

It is odd that I have so few results for my number of points.

Go figure.

If it's complete (the Anthrax Project), why are my computers still crunching away at it. Also, why does the stats page for the Anthrax project still have info for the present day in it?

Not being contentious, just curious.

By complete, they probably mean that they have assigned out all of the jobs that need to be completed. Once they are crunched, we will be back on cancer again. I hope.

One of my machines has switched back over to crunching for cancer. As current units finish up, I am sure the next download will be for cancer.

I tried hard, but...

Well, it was fun while it lasted, but as of 7/18, i will be losing 90% of my computing power as I am moving to another job on Monday.

I am not retiring from the team, but at my new workplace I will not be able to run the UD client on any more than about 1 or 2 machines. I made a good solid run for the top slot, but imaclone is just untouchable. Oh, well... I did achieve 3rd place in total points generated. That fits my namesake well, so i am satisfied.

Keep it crankin', guys! (and gals)
