Nokia is a pretty good bet =)
I've been using Nokia phones for about 4 years now, still using Nokia phones. =) Currently I'm using a Nokia 7110, its not the smallest or the prettiest thing on the market, but it does everything it supposed to and does it ever so well. Beaming the calender items and phone #s to my VPL is a snap =) but if u want to get all ur phonebook across, u r better off using GSMtool, it also dials numbers, receives and sends SMS through ur phone, its pretty neat. Nokia's advantage is getting lots of software support, and the 7110 can store phone numbers like u do on palm, u can store up to 5 numbers, and email addrs, postal addrs, and little notes under one name. It can keep 1000 names, so thats up to 5000 numbers (not that i have that many friends, but, WTH). =P Anyways, getting connect through the IR port on nokia is very simple, jus config a new connection on ur Visor, Ir to Ir modem i think, and u can probably use ur current PC isp if the isp didn't require intall stuff on ur PC. If thats the case, jus put the number and ur username and password in, and ur wireless! =)
