Cool

After way too much fussing, the site has finally launched. The Flip-Clip (our first product) is getting ever so close to release and we're working as fast as we can to get it to you. Images of the product should show sometime this week, so stick around.
Again, thanks for hanging in there for this long overdue launch. The wick on this this thing is only lit! More to come!

You have been teasing us with 'pictures' for awhile...and now that the site is up, there is nothing to see.......

We want to see your design.....come on man.....even a few scans of the designs would make us happy.

Sorry Guys, I'm doing the best I can.
The final CAD files have been sent to the Diemaker, from those we are doing some mechanical renderings. I haven't even seen the final plastics! We do have images of previous versions, but I didn't want to show you something you wouldn't be able to purchase.
The part has changed 3-4 times since its original design. (mainly to keep up with the changing module specs)
would you be happy with wireframes?

Lightbulb

sastian, there's a typo on your "products" page. Coming is supposed to be spelled with only one "m"... :-)

Red face

On your products page, check your spelling:

"Compatability with other cover accesories or modules"

compatibility
accessories

Looks like you have an interesting product. I personally hated the PalmIII style flip-cover, and welcomed the Visor cover which comes off completely and snaps onto the back, so I probably won't be a customer. But to each his own--I'm sure those who liked it will eagerly buy. Good luck!

I'm watching and waiting. I can't wait to see what the FlipClip and FlipLid actually look like.

My Visor Lives velcroed into a Targa Case. The cover is always a bother, since it can't be snapped onto the back.

Will the FlipLid be coming out in the various colors to match the Deluxe units? Any pricing info yet?

It looks like PDABuzz is reporting on a bit of a hidden link to pictures of the Re-Visor. They're here.

Thanks for the link! Like what I see so far. I guess Sastien is busy working on it.

The picture looks good, except the "curvy" lines of the side panels look more like they're duplocating the Palm cover. The Visor really needs a more "industrial" design.

Question

Argent:

What do you mean by an "industrial" design? I think the cover as it is now is very sleek and stylish and would go well with a visor.

PLEASE make it available in different colors. I have a blue visor but I love those purple lids and covers that I found on the internet the other day for the Palm Pilots. PLEASE give us more color!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

i'm looking forward to the flip clip lid thingy

I would like to second the motion for fun colors too (not just to match the handspring, but other ones). ANd if you feel lucky i'd like to see something like the replacement cases in fun colors too

Cool

I'm all over that idea. I would like as many options as possible on the lid. If the sales are good on the clip and lid the case is a definate concideration.
as far as colors go, I love the purple and red ideas ive seen here and elswhere. have you thought about logos? what logos or icons or imagry for that matter would you like to see if any?

Ice is nice !
Iimagine it would be the best to keep the price down. If you could get the handspring logo it would be good. otherwise keep it simple and not obtrusive

I'll preface this with the admission that I know nothing of the manufacturing process you guys are using or cost issues involved. Having made this disclaimer, I think that the Vaja case from DirectCase.com mentioned in another thread has some really cool personalization where they engrave your full name in cursive type writing on the case. They also engrave grafitti type help into the cover. I realize that this is easier to implement with leather than plastic, but hey...you asked for input...

This sounds like a great idea, & I hope you guys rake it in! Although I am hoping you won't charge an arm & a leg for it like most of these PDA accessory makers/programmers do.

Any chance of a preview at the next CPUG, meeting, (I actually might have to go to a meeting now)!
