Visor and future phone/PDA synching...

I currently use a Visor 2mb. Also have been synching with my PIM called Time and Chaos (http://www.isbister.com/). But...I am currently experiencing a phone/PDA jones. Looking and waiting for Sprint PCS to give me a phone/PDA combo that works well. I am assuming it will be Palm OS, surely it will. This will render my Visor obsolete. My question- if I am synching with Palm Desktop or Time and Chaos, let's say Palm Desktop in this example, will the new Palm phone that uses the Palm OS synch with the data in my Palm Desktop that was synched with my Visor previously?

Sorry about all of this verbosity, I am watching the Super Bowl Aaron Copeland symphony, very cool.
