Question

Has anyone bought microfiber case from Handspring? I'm thinking about buying a black one. Does it protect Visor well? Is it bulky? What is 'aniline leather'? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Taki,
FYI aniline refers to the dye used to color the leather. It's generally used in higher quality goods. (I work/design with leather).

Talking

I have the Black Micro fiber case and I Love it. It fits well around the Visor, it holds a healthy stack of my business cards AND I always have 2 styluses every where I go (one in the visor, one in the case pen holder). It feels very comfortable in my hand when I carry it with me.
One hting about the cases is that the hard plastic case that comes with the visor is what is used to hold the Visor to the case SO when you are traveling you can flip your visor over and have it COMPLETELY protected.

I am very happy with my case.

Pardon me for sounding stupid (the Mrs. says it ain't just a sound...), but what exactly is the MicroFiber material? I'm thinking that Cordura or ballistic nylon stuff. Probably not even close...

Mark,

I think microfiber is made from very thin(thinner than human hair) polyester fiber. I've seen it used in clothes & bags. It feels really nice in your hand but not "rugged" like Cordura. I use my IVDx at work and thought black microfiber case would look professional.

A "professional" look for a cool toy... I can just imagine the distraction caused when you open the case!

Mark,

You're probably right...haha. I showed my IVDx to some people at work today & one of them thought it was a Gameboy. May be I should disable Treksounds hack

Palm/Visor are not very common at my work yet, and as much as I like showing mine off I don't like people picking it up & touching it. One of my coworkers almost broke the plastic cover today by trying to remove it from the bottom. I think people would leave it alone if it looked like a Day-Timer or Franklin Organizer.
